Jefferies LLP work on a no win no fee basis*, which means if you lose your case you do not have to pay our fees. If you win your case these fees will be charged to the party at fault.
We won’t make you take out a loan to fund your claim and we won’t take any deductions from your compensation.
As long as you follow our advice you will be fully protected from all costs and legal fees at all times.
What if I lose my compensation claim? Does no win no fee still apply?
Yes, no win no fee is still applicable. If you lose your no win no fee personal injury/accident compensation claim, you won’t have to pay your solicitor but you will be liable for the costs of the successful party. So you are protected from these costs, your solicitor may take out insurance on your behalf as part of your no win no fee compensation agreement.
This is called ‘after the event’ insurance. It covers all legal fees as well as additional costs – including court fees and medical reports. There is a premium to pay for this insurance cover but you don’t need to pay this at the outset. If you lose your case, the insurance company pays the premium as it is insured. If you win, the losing party pays it. You may also have legal expenses insurance already under your motor or home contents insurance. Many people are not aware they have the benefit of this but at Jefferies LLP we will investigate this for you.
No win no fee with Jefferies LLP means you receive 100% of your compensation claim. Win or lose, you have nothing to pay. We will answer all your questions about no win no fee and make sure you’re comfortable with every aspect of your claim before we start proceeding with a compensation claim for you.
*Please note – In limited circumstances, fees may be charged when your compensation claim is not successful. These limited circumstances are explained in our No Win No Fee Agreement. In addition, if you fail to attend a medical appointment arranged for you, the doctor may charge a non-attendance fee.
