Jefferies Solicitors Go Wild For Headway
Earlier this month, three members of staff from Jefferies travelled up to The Lake District to take part in a gruelling 2-day challenge for Headway UK.
Michael Mawdley, Josh Morton and Emily Turner joined Headway supporters from across the country to complete a series of physically and mentally demanding activities to help raise money for the organisation’s important work with those affected by brain injury.
The challenge began with an action-packed day involving scrambling, trekking and climbing high cliff faces (with and without ropes!), abseiling, canyoning, zip lining over a (very high) quarry. The team then jumped off a 30ft waterfall before wading and swimming in ice-cold water through pitch black caves. At the end of an exhausting day, they set up camp for the night with the rest of the group.
The next morning they walked 10 miles through the Cumbrian countryside to complete the challenge. While it was a tough couple of days, the team completed all the activities and had fun in the process.
At Jefferies, we have supported Headway for a number of years. We work closely with individuals and families affected by head and brain injury and understand the importance of the organisation’s invaluable work.
Michael, Josh and Emily are hoping to raise £1,500 for Headway and there is still time to give them your support. All of the money they raise will go towards supporting Headway’s front line services supporting brain injury survivors across the UK.
