Local Solicitors Take On Brain Injury Charity Challenge
Jefferies Solicitors has been officially ‘passed the baton’ by leading brain injury charity Headway UK.
The unique challenge is given to a different company each year from Headway UK. The chosen company then make a pledge to raise as much money as possible during that year.
Michael Jefferies, Managing Director of the Altrincham-based solicitors says he was thrilled to receive the baton at this years’ Awards Luncheon. He said: “We have some exciting fundraising ideas planned for increasing awareness of Headway as well as raising as much money as possible.”
Former Baton carrying companies have taken part in a whole host of different fundraising activities including the London to Pairs cycle ride, walking the 3 Peaks and Skydives.
Co-director of Jefferies, Nina Ramsden added that the company has an ambitious fundraising plan which they hope will pay off. “Picking up the baton is a privilege for us. We meet brain injury victims and their families all the time and we see the effects it has had and continues to have. We are fortunate to have a vibrant and enthusiastic team who are itching to get fundraising for this more than worthy cause.”
Headway UK is a charity set up to help brain injury sufferers and their families. It provides information on provisions available including rehabilitation and support groups in local areas. In addition, it promotes a wider understanding of the impact of brain injuries. It also lobbies the government to provide more assistance for brain injury victims.
