Arm injury claims comprise of many differing injuries to the upper arm or the forearm. How much compensation for arm injuries depends on to what extent there has been damage to soft tissue; whether there has been a torn ligament; whether or not there has been a broken bone.

If the reason for your injury was because of neglect from a third party then you could make a claim for compensation. For guidance on the exact figure you are likely to receive, see below the parameters used to decide the amount.

  • Severe arm injuries are classed as such when there has been significant damage to the arm but amputation has not been deemed necessary. An example of this would be a serious brachial plexus injury (a condition of varying severity which damages the nerves and can cause lack of muscle control and paralysis). Compensation amounts in these instances are between £68,750 and £93,500
  • If you have suffered a serious fracture to one or both arms and have ended up with a permanent disability then compensation sums are between £28,000 and £42,750
  • For less severe arm injuries where there has been significant disability but a strong prognosis for recovery is present, settlement figures for compensation are often around £13,700 up to £28,000
  • On the lower end of the arm injury compensation scale, people who have suffered simple fractures to the forearm are likely to receive from £4,750 up to £13,700
