FALL FROM LADDERS -CASE STUDY
Our client had an accident at work, our team of experts worked to help secure £7,000 in compensation.
|INJURY SUMMARY||Back injury|
|CASE RESOLUTION||Case settled in August 2022 £7,000 awarded|
|CASE HANDLER||Michael Mawdsley|
Our client was working as a school caretaker. They were asked to remove a squirrel’s nest from a shed. They were given a set of ladders to access and remove the nest. The ladders were not high enough to reach the nest so the client used a nearby fence to give extra height. As they stretched to reach the nest a squirrel ran at the client causing the client to fall and suffer a back injury.
The client had not been given adequate equipment or training to remove the nest.
As a result of the accident, the client suffered back pain requiring 6 weeks of physiotherapy. The client terminated their employment with the school following the accident.
Our client instructed Jefferies and was represented by case handler Michael Mawdsley. Michael worked hard to recover compensation for the client’s injuries and the clients’ losses.
The claim was settled in August 2022 for £7,000. Of their experience in claiming with Jefferies Solicitors, the client said they had received a ‘professional service from beginning to end in dealing with my case’.
