CIRCUMSTANCES
One summers day, our client was working as a recovery driver. The client was working at a service station, loading a customers broken-down vehicle onto the bed of the recovery lorry.
The client had strapped one side of the broken-down vehicle down and was walking around to the other side of the vehicle when the client tripped and fell to the floor due to a pothole that was three inches deep.
The client managed to get up and carry on but the pain in their arm, knee and abdomen increased causing the client to urgently seek medical attention at the A & E department of a hospital.
INJURIES
As a result of the accident the client suffered from a soft tissue injury to their arm and knee, the client also developed pancreatitis. Due to injuries sustained in the accident, the client was dismissed from work on medical grounds as they could no longer do the job of a recovery driver.
SETTLEMENT
