Best regards to you for the future and our heartfelt thanks.
24-year old Luke was driving home from work when he was involved in a serious road traffic accident.
He sustained multiple injuries, including a significant head injury, facial injuries and soft tissue injuries. As a result of his head injury, Luke suffered from epilepsy and debilitating headaches. He also experienced associated psychological problems, including symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression.
The accident had a significant impact on Luke and his family, both emotionally and financially. Luke was keen to return to work, but sadly, because of his headaches, mood and memory issues, his employment was terminated.
We took on Luke’s brain injury claim shortly after the accident. Our serious injury team, led by Nina Ramsden, obtained interim funds and appointed a dedicated case manager who set up a rehabilitation team around Luke to ensure he had access to specialist therapy. Luke’s case manager also recruited support workers to enable him to get back into the community and to socialise.
Because we were able to secure interim payments, while Luke’s head injury claim was being settled, his income was replaced. This helped to reduce the financial burden on him and his family.
In the end, Luke’s case settled for more than £600,000. He now has the means to fund his continued rehabilitation and financial security.
