CIRCUMSTANCES
In May 2019 the client was at work. Their task was to move a delivery into a kitchen storage area, the storage was a shelving unit with three shelves. As the client went to collect a container from the bottom shelf, an empty container fell from the top shelf and landed on the back of our clients head.
The accident was reported in the works accident book. Since the accident containers have now been moved from the top shelf to avoid future accidents.
INJURIES
The client has suffered ongoing pain and stiffness in their head and neck.
The injury caused the client to have 5 weeks off work, a claim for loss of earning was made for this.
SETTLEMENT
Our client instructed Jefferies in 2019 and was represented by Solicitor, Michael Mawdsley.
The claim was settled in November 2021 for £3,500 which included loss of earnings and travel and parking expenses.
