CIRCUMSTANCES
In January 2021 the client was at work at a care home. The client was walking outside with a resident. All of the grounds had been gritted apart from the path leading to the back entrance of the care home. The client slipped on the untreated path and fell backwards.
Following the accident, the path was gritted and warning signs were erected.
INJURIES
The client was taken to hospital following the accident. They suffered soft tissue damage and a back injury. They required 2 weeks off work to assist in their recovery.
SETTLEMENT
